ActiClean offers two cleaning options: a Quick Clean that takes one minute or an extended, 10-minute Deep Clean cycle. When activated, cleaning solution travels through the designated channel in the tank and is mixed with water. The cleaner is released into the bowl with the powerful VorMax jetted water force, and soaks in the bowl for the selected amount of time. Then the system automatically siphons the cleaning agent and rinses the bowl with clear water. Operating independently from the normal flushing function, the ActiClean system is powered by four easily accessible AA batteries.
To further simplify toilet cleaning, the ActiClean model features a sleek, CleanCurve Rim that omits the rim cavity and holes inside the bowl where dirt and buildup can get trapped and hide. The entire ActiClean toilet bowl and tank surfaces feature EverClean, the brand-exclusive permanent finish that inhibits the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface. The smooth, mirror-like EverClean finish repels dirt so the toilet stays cleaner longer, even after years of use. For complete cleaning, a release button permits the quick and easy removal of the entire seat for a thorough cleaning of both seat and top of bowl. There is also a sanitary tab on the seat that allows the user to lift the seat without touching the toilet.
The VorMax flushing technology, introduced in 2014, has been independently verified to clean the bowl two times better than conventional toilets (IAPMO R&T Labs Test Report No. 109-141486-002). The high-efficiency VorMax flush uses a single powerful jet of water to scrub the entire bowl with each flush. The ActiClean self-cleaning toilet has also earned WaterSense-certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for providing high performance while using 20 percent less water than traditional 1.6 gpf toilets.
Unlike other self-cleaning add-on products on the market, the ActiClean toilet cleans itself without requiring the use of unsightly in-the-bowl cleaners. All cleaning system components are discreetly hidden from view, yet are still easy to access when the user needs to change batteries or the cleaning cartridge.
Showcasing a classic composition suiting a variety of bathroom settings, the ActiClean toilet highlights sleek design and thoughtful detailing. The custom-fit, slow-close seat is distinguished by a contemporary design with no overhang on the front and sides of the bowl, creating a seamless look when closed.
The ActiClean system was designed with the convenience and pleasure of the user in mind, delivering an attractive fixture that looks just like a typical, high-efficiency toilet on the outside, combined with an exceptionally easy-to-maintain self-cleaning system on the inside. ActiClean is the only toilet on the market today that offers the luxury of a handsome toilet that cleans itself at such an affordable price point.
